COVID-19 Specific Policies
Health and Safety
Daily Health Screening
Parent/Guardian should pre-screen their campers before bringing them to camp. If camper is experiencing any symptoms, please keep them home and inform counselors.
Please review these symptoms daily. If an individual has any of them, please do not come to camp:
- Temperature above 100.4 F
- Fever or chills*
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Dry, persistent cough
- New loss of taste or smell
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting or diarrhea
Has anyone in household traveled out of the country, or state or other location deemed unsafe by the State of New Jersey in last 14 days? See NJ current list of restrictions.
Has camper or a member of their household has had a known exposure or close contact to someone with confirmed case of COVID-19? Unvaccinated campers must follow quarantine guidelines.
Has camper or a member of their household has had a positive COVID-19 test in the week prior to their camp session? Individuals with COVID-19 must quarantine for 5 days regardless of vaccination status. Counselors must be notified as individual must follow CDC mask guidelines for full 10 days after positive COVID test.
Mask Wearing & Social Distancing
Terhune Orchards is will be mask-optional at this time following current CDC guidelines. This is subject to change if Mercer County COVID status changes.
Camp is held primarily outdoors and in space with fresh, open air. No sharing of lunch or food.
Sanitation
Hand-washing: Instruction will be given on proper handwashing. Campers and Staff will routinely wash hands throughout the day.
Cleaning: Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of commonly touched surfaces will happen throughout the day.
Vaccination
All Terhune Orchards staff, including Camp counselors and assistant counselors, are fully vaccinated.
