Ingredients:
1 lb trimmed boneless pork chops
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon paprika
¾ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Cooking Spray
¼ cup sliced shallots
2 medium Terhune Orchards apples (unpeeled, cored and cut into slices)
2/3 cup chicken broth
2 teaspoons cornstarch
¼ cup apple cider
Preparation:
Preheat broiler or electric frying pan. Combine salt, paprika, thyme and pepper; sprinkle over both sides of chops. Coast pork with cooking spray. Broil 2 minutes per side.
Coat a large skillet with cooking spray. Add shallots; sauté over medium heat for 3 minutes.
Add apples and, sauté 2 minutes. Combine broth and cornstarch in separate bowl; mix well. Add to pork pan with cider. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until pork is cooked through and sauce thickens. Apples should be tender.
