
A Terhune Orchards specialty desert warm apple crisp and ice cream. This simple dish is sure to be a family favorite.
½ cup brown sugar (packed)
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup butter (cold)
5 cup Terhune Orchards tart apples
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon tapioca
Preheat oven to 350º . Peel and slice apples. In a bowl, toss apples with ½ cup sugar and tapioca. Fill 8-inch square baking dish with apples so that they are generously piled.
In large bowl, combine, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter with pastry blender. Blend until mixture is crumbly.
Pat mixture on top of apples.
At 350º, bake for 60 minutes or until crisp is lightly brown and bubbling.
